FRONT OFFICE MANAGER

BASIC FUNCTION
To assist the General Manager in managing the Front Desk Department of the hotel in a manner that will maintain high standards of service and hospitality consistent with the policies and procedures set forth by Drury Inns, Inc.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Requires ability to give and take written and oral direction. Requires good listening skills in communicating with the public and team members. Requires thorough knowledge of Drury Inns, Inc. policies and procedures, as well as the ability to select, train, motivate, evaluate and recommend proper disciplinary action. Requires thorough knowledge of marketing and sales programs. Requires ability to give attention to detail. Requires some travel.


EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER

BASIC FUNCTION
Under general direction, manages the housekeeping and laundry services of the hotel in a manner which will maintain high standards of service and hospitality consistent with the policies and procedures set forth by Drury Inns, Inc., and the management of the hotels. To plan, organize, motivate and control the housekeeping functions necessary to provide our guests with top-quality, clean accommodations.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Requires thorough knowledge of methods of cleaning rooms and laundering. Requires knowledge of the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals. Requires general knowledge of such equipment as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers. Requires ability to select, train, evaluate, motivate and discipline as needed. Operates the department within the budget by appropriately forecasting and scheduling staff members. Requires some travel.

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

Basic Function
Under general supervision, assists the General Manager in managing the hotel in a manner that will maintain high standards of service and hospitality consistent with the policies and procedures set forth by Drury Inns, Inc.

General Knowledge, Skill and Ability
Requires general knowledge of basic business practices to include sales, management systems, accounts receivables/payables and supervision. Requires good communications skills to relate to guests and employees. Requires thorough knowledge of Drury Inns, Inc. policies and procedures. Requires ability to train employees to perform effectively. Requires the ability to give attention to detail. Requires some travel.

SALES MANAGER

BASIC FUNCTION
Under general direction, plans and conducts sales activities to sell guest rooms and meeting facilities at one hotel location; assists in the development of marketing plans.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Requires general knowledge of sales techniques and basic business practices. Requires ability to clearly communicate, both orally and in writing. Requires good clerical skills to include typing at 40 w.p.m., and composition of letters and reports. Requires ability to operate an automobile in the daily routine of making sales calls. Stays abreast of Drury Inns, Inc. marketing programs and trends in markets.

AREA SALES MANAGER

BASIC FUNCTION
Under general direction, plans and conducts sales activities to sell guest rooms and meeting facilities in a geographic area by following Drury Sales Procedures in order to build hotel occupancy and revenues for Drury Hotels. Responsible for achieving the revenue goals set forth by the Regional Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales and Marketing. An average of 80% of time is devoted to customer contact.

Requires general knowledge of sales techniques and basic business practices. Requires ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. Requires good clerical skills to include typing at 40 w.p.m., and composition of letters and reports. Requires ability to operate an automobile in the daily routine of making sales calls. GENERAL MANAGER

BASIC FUNCTION
Under general direction, manages a hotel owned and/or operated by Drury Inns, Inc. in a manner that will maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality consistent with the policies and procedures of the company. To plan and control the on-going operations of the hotel under his/her supervision, in a manner which will yield a satisfactory level of profit. Develops schedule to assure management coverage at peak times and consistent staffing of property.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Requires general knowledge of management principles: planning, organizing, motivating, controlling and evaluating results. Must have thorough knowledge of Drury Inns, Inc. procedures and policies. Requires ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing. Requires ability to select, train employees and supervise through proper evaluation and discipline. Stays abreast of changes and trends in markets and competition. Requires ability to represent the company in a positive manner in community and public affairs. Requires some travel.

REGIONAL MAINTENANCE MANAGER

BASIC FUNCTION
Under general direction, responsible for repairs and maintenance of the physical plant and grounds of each hotel within the region to preserve Company assets in a safe and cost-effective manner in accordance with the Company’s programs and procedures. Manages necessary repairs and monitors preventive maintenance procedures. Trains property maintenance personnel to maintain property.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Requires general knowledge of building maintenance principles and practices. Requires skill and ability to repair complex heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems. Requires ability to evaluate building problems and recommend solutions to include cost estimates for the repair. Requires ability to communicate clearly with the managers and other hotel staff. Requires ability to train others in effective methods. Requires knowledge of local codes and ordinances.


REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

BASIC FUNCTION
Under general direction, monitors and coordinates the implementation of active marketing plans, which maximize room revenue and occupancy for all hotels within the region. Conducts sales training for General Managers, Area Sales Managers, Sales Representatives, Sales Coordinators, Sales Assistants, and hotel team members, consistent with policies and procedures set forth by Drury Inns, Inc. Acts in a supervisory capacity for designated sales personnel (primarily Area Sales Managers) in the region. Conducts regular sales calls with General Managers and Area Sales Managers.

Manage and support the operations of a group of hotels in a manner that will maintain high standards of excellence and profitability consistent with our Company’s Quality, Service, Profitability and Teamwork goals.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Requires thorough knowledge of all phases of hotel operations. Requires thorough knowledge of all Company policies and procedures. Requires thorough knowledge and understanding of budgeting processes and methods. Requires general knowledge of office procedures and equipment (copiers etc.) Requires ability to work independently, and interact with various team members throughout the day.


GUEST SERVICE AGENT

BASIC FUNCTION
Under immediate supervision, assists our guests efficiently, courteously and professionally in all Front Desk related functions to maintain a high standard of service and hospitality at all times.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Requires ability to take written and verbal direction. Requires ability to relate to the public in a warm, friendly manner in providing a hospitable environment. Requires ability to give attention to detail and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently. Requires thorough knowledge of Drury Inns, Inc., policies and procedures, for guest services. Requires ability to handle money, make change and utilize office machines in the normal day-to-day activities.

BASIC FUNCTION

HOUSEKEEPER

BASIC FUNCTION
Under immediate supervision, performs a variety of housekeeping services to maintain clean and sanitary guest rooms according to established standards. May perform laundry functions. Visually inspects rooms to assist in identifying maintenance items needed. Assists guests whenever possible by providing linens, terry or providing information as requested.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Requires ability to follow verbal directions. Requires thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures as well as cleaning supplies. Requires ability to work without direct supervision.

BREAKFAST HOST/HOSTESS

BASIC FUNCTION
Under general supervision, prepares the QUIKSTART ® Breakfast for guests following Company policies and procedures. Maintains the breakfast / lobby area in a clean and neat manner, and assists guests with breakfast service (i.e., serving coffee, clearing trays, etc.) Greets guests, and answers questions to maintain high levels of service.

Requires ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly. Requires ability to communicate in a friendly manner with guests in order to create a warm, comfortable, relaxing environment. LIFEGUARD

BASIC FUNCTION
Under general supervision, acts as lifeguard, promotes water safety among guests using the pool, maintains the indoor pool, whirlpool, pool deck, patio, and grounds of the hotel. Effects necessary repairs and performs necessary cleaning in a manner that is responsive to guest satisfaction in a safe manner. Also responsible for routine custodial and groundskeeping duties.

Requires ability to take written and verbal direction. Requires ability to communicate in a friendly manner with guests in order to create a warm, comfortable, relaxing environment. Requires knowledge of hotel accommodations, the community and pool hours. Requires ability to conduct accurate inventory of pool supplies and calculate order levels.


VAN DRIVER

BASIC FUNCTION
Under immediate supervision, operates the hotel van service to provide guests and potential guests with convenient transportation to and from the airport; assists in maintaining the van in clean and orderly condition.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Requires ability to operate the courtesy van without breaking the law and in a careful manner to protect guests' safety. Requires ability to communicate with the guests in a warm and friendly manner. Requires knowledge of hotel accommodations and community information.


MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

BASIC FUNCTION
Under general direction, maintains the physical plant and grounds of the hotel. Effects necessary repairs, and performs preventive maintenance procedures in a manner responsive to guest satisfaction and to preservation of company assets in a safe, cost- effective manner. Also responsible for routine custodial duties.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Requires general knowledge of building maintenance to include minor electrical repair, plumbing and routine preventative care of heating and air conditioning systems. Requires ability to receive verbal and written direction. Requires ability to keep records of limited difficulty. Requires ability to be available for emergency repairs.

ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER

BASIC FUNCTION
Under general supervision, assists the Executive Housekeeper in the supervision of the housekeeping and laundry services of the hotel, maintaining the high standards of service and hospitality consistent with the policies and procedures set forth by Drury Inns, Inc. for management of the hotels.

Requires ability to train, motivate and discipline employees as needed. Requires ability to forecast and schedule work to maintain the department budget.


BARTENDER

BASIC FUNCTION
Under general supervision, according to policy, serves cocktails, beer, wine, soft drinks, and also prepares popcorn and/or some other snack. Greets guests and answers questions to maintain a positive image.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Requires ability to take written and verbal direction. Requires ability to communicate in a friendly manner with guests in order to create a warm, comfortable, relaxing environment. Requires knowledge of hotel accommodations, the community and cocktail hours. Requires ability to conduct accurate inventory of beverage items and supplies and calculate order levels.
